Fire Shrimp

Fire Shrimp in a boat
This is an Eye Opener For Sure!
Mess Factor Of: 4 – The dog won’t get too sick licking the dishes clean! There shouldn’t be but a couple to deal with!
- Ingredients:
*16 "26-30ct" UnCooked! Shrimp(s) <-- the "s" is optional depending on what part of the country you are from!
*1 Tblsp. Hot Sauce
*2 sticks salted Butter
*Garlic Fresh finely chopped or (substitute with 1/2 tsp Garlic Powder)
*1/2 of 1 individual package of Soda Crackers (usually 4 packages in store baught box)
*1/4 cup fresh cilantro finely chopped
*1/4 cup fresh green onion tops (chives?)
*1/4 tsp Rosemary Leaves (crushed in palm of hand)
*1/4 tsp Basil
*dash of Thyme
*1/2 tsp Paprika
- Cooking Instructions:
*Pre-Heat oven to 325F
*Clean, shell and devein the shrimp. let soak in cold water while you mix the rest of the ingredients.
*Melt butter however you want to. (stick it in your arm-pits or leave it on top of the refridgerator for all I care. I do recommend a pan on the stove, though)
*In a large mixing bowl crush up the crackers to a semi-fine consistancy. Add the herbs and spices including garlic (fresh or dried)
*Dry mix this before adding the butter and hot sauce.
*Add melted Butter and Hot Sauce to the dry mix . Mix together into "paste"
*I like using a glass cooking dish so I can see when the butter is bubbling.
*Get one the size you need in order for the shrimp to cover the bottom of it and also so they aren't piled 3-deep. Sometimes I use a glass bread pan!
*Line bottom of pan with shrimp and cover with "soda cracker mix.
*place uncovered in oven (middle or low rack) for 15minutes or until the butter has started to bubble. Once the butter bubbles it pretty much is done. I usually give it another couple minutes only to make sure the shrimp is cooked.
*Cooking for 20 minutes without checking will probably make the shrimp rubbery.
