Bar-Ba-Ma-Que!!
I know it’s a silly name. but I like this stuff, and the name is just- well, it’s just kind of fun. This came to be as a substitute for Sloppy Joes, and quite honestly, I think it’s better.
MFO: 5 Have some fun with the squeezy, plastic bottles. Heck, have a condiment war if you like.
- Ingredients: 1 lb. Ground Chuck (eww, you're a cannibal?). Mustard. Ketchup. Your favorite barbeque sauce (I like Sweet Baby Ray's). A couple of nicely toasted buns. Sharp cheddar slices. pickle slices.
- Cooking Instructions: Brown your beef in a frying pan. Drain grease from the pan when beef is cooked. Add the rest of the ingredients to the pan-1/4 cup ketchup, 2 tbs. mustard and 1/2 cup barbeque. Stir well, combining all the sauces, until the beef has a sticky, gloppy kind of consistency. You want it to stick together when you scoop it onto your toasted buns. Add your pickle slices, cover with cheese slices, top with bun "crown" .
- Serving Sizes: Makes enough for four good sized sandwiches, with a little left over.
- Options:: I also add Cholula brand hot sauce to the mixture, as well as crushed red pepper flakes.
- Pairings: Serve with some kettle chips, or Jay's "Hot Stuff" potato chips
