Killer Julie’s Meatloaf (did I mix that up?)
This meatloaf made it’s debut purely by a happy accident. Julie ran out of ground beef and substituted some of the other ingredients, but in the process, made it sooo good! In fact, this meatloaf is so good, you’ll want to smack your Momma for not thinking of it.!
Mess Factor of 3.
You’ll have a couple of dishes to do, as well as some utensils, but this is well worth the effort.
- Cooking Instructions: Find a somewhat large mixing bowl, and add all of the ingredients together. Mix thoroughly. Get your hands in there. Don’t be shy. If you can’t handle the raw meat, I suppose you can use a fork to mix it up, but come on, you’re a man!
After mixing the ingredients, dump the contents of the bowl onto a piece of plastic wrap. Using your hands again, form the mixture into a rectangle shape( Think loaf of bread), and place into the loaf pan.
Bake at 350, for 1 hour. Let cool for about 10 minutes, slice it up, and enjoy!
- Ingredients: To get this started, you’ll need:
½ lb. bulk pork sausage- Tennessee Pride, Wal-Mart’s brand, whatever you can find.
1 lb. ground beef
4 strips of pre-cooked bacon, cut into small pieces
1 lg. egg
¾ cup uncooked oatmeal
½ tsp. salt
¼ tsp. pepper- I really like cayenne, but black will do.
1 cup milk or tomato juice
A loaf pan
Large mixing bowl
Optional: You can also add some finely chopped red onion and green pepper to this, but I'm sort of a hillbilly purist, and want only brown gravy for my meatloaf!
